Summary

Spend a morning learning how to cook a succulent Christmas meal, French style under the expert guidance of our highly respected French chef, Chef Dominique. His creative festive recipes combine healthy, local fresh seasonal ingredients from the market and introduce you to dishes that are part of France's rich culinary heritage. Chef Dominique's menu is perfect for you to reproduce back home as a Christmas Eve dinner or a Christmas Day lunch. The menu combines poultry and seafood, seasonal mushrooms and vegetables as well as showing you how to create the stunning Yule log - Bûche de Noël -. Recreate this impressive dessert for your own family' Christmas table.

The meal is prepared and cooked in Chef Dominique's own kitchen and limiting numbers to 8 allows for a real hands-on practical cooking class. You will work your way through the special menu, learning as you go. No previous cooking skills are necessary, as you will be coached through every step. The class ends when everything has been cooked and the group sits down together to enjoy the fabulous food and wine offered. The class is offered everyday except Sundays from November to January. It starts at 10.30 am and ends around 2 pm after you have enjoyed eating your delicious home cooked lunch in the company of new friends. At the end, you will receive all the recipes, allowing you to share them with family and friends at home and together to cook a French traditional Christmas meal.

Christmas menu:

  • Red potimarron velouté, scallops
  • Supreme of guinea fowl, Jura yellow wine and morels
  • Mont d'or cheese
  • Chocolate and chestnut Bûche de Noël (Yule log)
  • Coffee/tea, water, wine (Jura Savagnin or Chardonnay)

Inclusions

  • Apron and all ingredients and utensils provided
  • 2.5-hour class and a 45-minute eating of the meal
  • Wine is provided with the meal
  • Copy of each recipe in English
