Itinerary

Le Mas d'Agenais – Damazan – Buzet-sur-baïse – Lavardac – Vianne – Nerac – Moncrabeau – Condom – Valence-sur-Baïse – Le Mas d'Agenais

Visit the following towns and villages:

  • Le Mas d'Agenais
  • Damazan
  • Buzet-sur-baïse
  • Lavardac
  • Vianne
  • Nerac
  • Moncrabeau
  • Condom
  • Valence-sur-Baïse

Le Mas d'Agenais
Start your voyage admiring colourful blooms in Le Mas d'Agenais. This charming French village features an old wash basin and ruins of a medieval castle.

Damazan
The picturesque village of Damazan has a lovely town square worth seeing. Stop and dine in a local restaurant to get your fill of tasty dishes. Visit Esplanade des Promenades, a wonderful area where old men love to play petanque under the shade of trees.

Buzet-sur-baïse
Dock by the beautiful village of Buzet, which is known for its exquisite wines. Visit the Buzet Cave for free wine tasting and don’t forget to buy a bottle so you can enjoy a drink on board the boat.

Lavardac
Step back in time when you reach Lavardac, a medieval village fortified around castle ruins in the form of castrum and bastide. The village was the region’s centre of commerce for many years, a transportation hub that carried barrels of Armagnac and wine, as well as cork supplies.

Vianne
Set in a bastide dating back to the Roman period, Vianne is home to fascinating fortifications, such as its 12th century church. This peaceful village also boasts excellent restaurants and is the perfect place for a relaxing stroll. You may also visit an amazing Glasswork factory during your stopover here.

Nérac
Experience the charm of a typical French village filled with extraordinary landscapes. Nérac features medieval buildings and historic landmarks that are worth seeing. Visit the huge Albret Castle, an edifice of the French Renaissance style, and the impressive church of St. Nicholas.

Moncrabeau
Perched on a hill overlooking the Baïse River, Moncrabeau is a wonderful, somehow unusual, place to visit. The village boasts a beautiful 13th century church, the Saint-Sigismund Church of Vialère, but what makes it so oddly unique is its liars’ tradition. As you wander around the World Liars’ Capital, discover make-believe historic landmarks, such as the King of Liars Throne and the passage for pink elephants.

Condom
An authentic French village alive with history and culture, Condom is a nice place to take a break. Visit its most popular sites, such as the Flaran Abbey, the Condom Cathedral, Armagnac Museum, and Château De Cassaigne.

Valence-sur-Baïse
Located in the heart of Gascony’s bastide towns overlooking the countryside, Valence-sur-Baise is a lovable village offering splendid sights, such as old-timbered houses, botanical hiking trails, and historic landmarks. Visit the town hall, church, and the main square, which is enclosed by arcaded buildings and has ancient wells.
