The crew can also recommend local restaurants according to your tastes and budget. This cruise is available only for charter  up to 6 guests.


Inclusions

  • Transfer from and to Dijon train station to the barge at 3:00 pm on Saturday and from the barge to Dijon train station at 9:00 am
  • Accommodation for up to 6 guests in 3  double cabins with private bathrooms
  • Use of bicycles and laundry
  • Drive 2 or 3 times a week for provisions
  • Bottles of water, milk and condiments (oil, vinegar, mustard, salt, pepper and dry included)
  • Drive to and from restaurant
  • Outdoor kitchen with grill

Self-catered cruise: 6,800 Euros per charter of 6 people for 6 nights. Price includes transfer from and to Dijon train station and use of bicycles. Optional excursion at 220 Euros per person and optional breakfast at 400 Euros for 6 persons for the week. 

Terms & Conditions

Prices shown in Euros and will be converted in Australian Dollar (AUD) at time of payment using a daily ROE. An initial deposit of 35% of the total cruise fare is payable at the time of booking. The balance must be paid within 90 days as per our terms and conditions and as specified in our confirmation invoice, which will be despatched when the booking form has been processed. Cancellation policy applies to all bookings.

Itinerary 

Dijon to Escommes

Day 1, Saturday
Guests are met in Dijon train station at 3.00 pm and transferred to the barge moored in Dijon. Enjoy a welcome drink on board with the presentation of the boat and its crew.

Day 2, Sunday
An all day cruise to Fleurey sur Ouche offers cycling or walking opportunities. There is an optional morning visit to l’Or des Valois truffle farm where we you can do truffle hunting with dogs and truffle tasting as well.

Day 3, Monday
Cruise to Lock 34, an original lock house converted into a welcoming “guinguette”, where you can experience the owner's cooking talents. In the afternoon, you can visit Vosne Romanée for a private wine tasting in the family domaine Armelle Rion (optional).

Day 4, Tuesday
After breakfast, you can drive to Dijon to explore the capital of the dukes and its rich and coloured market (optional). Enjoy an afternoon cruise to La Bussière.

Day 5, Wednesday
Take a morning cruise to Pont d’Ouche.  In the afternoon, you can visit Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy. You will discover the 15th century charity hospital, also famous for its wine auction, as well. Use some free time for shopping (optional).

Day 6, Thursday
Enjoy a relaxing morning with a cruise to Vandenesse en Auxois. Visit of the medieval castle and village of Chateauneuf, offering a fine overview of the lakes, canal, and surrounding countryside (optional). Take an afternoon cruise to Escommes.

Day 7, Friday
After breakfast, disembark and transfer to Dijon train station.

A fully equipped kitchen is available and the crew will assist you for food supply.  
If you do not feel like cooking, you will find restaurants near the cruising road.

This is a sample itinerary and is subject to change. On alternate weeks the cruise is in the reverse direction.
