Terms & Conditions
Prices shown in Euros and will be converted in Australian Dollar (AUD) at time of payment using a daily ROE. An initial deposit of 30% of the total cruise fare for cabin or charter is payable at the time of booking. The balance must be paid within 60 days as per our terms and conditions and as specified in our confirmation invoice, which will be despatched when the booking form has been processed. Cancellation policy applies to all bookings.
Strasbourg to Lagarde
Day 1, Strasbourg
Passengers are welcome to board our ship towards the end of the afternoon. After comfortably settling into your cabins, We'll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail. Tonight We'll enjoy dinner followed by an optional panoramic boat tour of Strasbourg. We'll remain in port overnight.
Day 2, Strasbourg - Waltenheim
Morning spent cruising towards Waltenheim-sur-Zorn through the Brumath Forest. In the afternoon, excursion to hike along the hops trail in Wingersheim. With a heritage of wine-growing and beer-brewing, Alsace will give you a new perspective by showing you how hops are grown. Back on board. Dinner to taste the tarte flambée, a local specialty, at a restaurant in Waltenheim (included).
Day 3, Waltenheim - Saverne
Morning spent cruising towards Saverne. Bucolic journey passing the towns of Schwindratzheim, nestled on a hillside, and Hochfelden, a typical local village. During the morning, you are free to stroll or bike on the paved trails alongside the canal. In the afternoon, tour of the Château du Haut-Barr, nicknamed "The Eye of Alsace", where you will discover a splendid view over the Alsatian plains. Back on board. We'll remain in port overnight.
Day 4, Saverne - Lutzelbourg
Guided tour of Saverne. Virtually unknown by the usual tourist routes, the city offers a wide range of places to discover. Back on board and departure of the boat towards Lutzelbourg. The canal winds through the Vosges Mountains before joining the Lorraine region. Late in the afternoon, we suggest you to set off on foot to marvel at Lutzelbourg Castle. We'll remain in port overnight.
Day 5, Lutzelbourg - Arzviller Inclined Plane - Xouaxange
We will set off for the Arzviller inclined plane. Along the way, we will stop at the crystal glassworks near the inclined plane. You will learn about this time-tested tradition, and watch crystal blowing and cutting demonstrations. Departure of the boat and passage through the Arzviller inclined plane - an incredible experience. A fabulous structure, this transverse system boat “elevator” is one-of-a-kind in Europe. The inclined plane replaces 17 successive locks over 2.5 miles that once needed a full day to navigate. Arrival in Xouaxange. We'll remain in port overnight.
Day 6, Xouaxange - Lagarde
Morning spent cruising towards Lagarde. Passage through the Réchicourt lock, one of the largest in France, before continuing our journey through the lakes. In the afternoon, visit of Sarrebourg that will take us on the Chagall trail. Back on board. Tonight is our gala evening. We'll remain in port overnight.
Day 7, Lagarde - Strasbourg
Buffet breakfast on board. Disembark at 9:00 a.m. Transfer by coach back to Strasbourg, arriving late in the morning.
Lagarde to Strasbourg
Day 1, Strasbourg - Lagarde
Transfer by coach from Strasbourg to Lagarde. Passengers are welcome to board our ship towards the end of the afternoon. After comfortably settling into your cabins, We'll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail. Tonight We'll enjoy dinner and remain in port overnight.
Day 2, Lagarde - Xouaxange
Morning spent cruising toward Xouaxange. Our boat will go through the Réchicourt lock, one of the largest in France, before continuing our journey through the lakes. In the afternoon, visit to Sarrebourg that will take us on the Chagall trail. Located at the foot of the Vosges and the region of Alsace, the city is rich with diversity. Back on board. We'll remain in port overnight.
Day 3, Xouaxange - Lutzelbourg - Inclined Plane Arzviller
Morning spent cruising towards Lutzelbourg. You will enjoy lunch by candlelight, while we pass through the Arzviller and Niderviller Tunnels. Early in the afternoon, our boat will pass through the Arzviller inclined plane for a truly unforgettable experience. A fantastic piece of workmanship, this type of transverse boat lift is the only one of its kind in Europe. Stop at the local crystal workshop. Located at the foot of the incline for over 25 years, the crystal workshop is a family-run business specializing in the art of crystal blowing and cutting. Back on board and our boat will continue on to Lutzelbourg. The canal winds through the Vosges Mountains before joining the Lorraine region. Arrival in Lutzelbourg early in the evening. We'll remain in port overnight.
Day 4, Lutzelbourg - Saverne
Set off on foot to marvel at Lutzelbourg Castle. Perched at over 980 feet above sea level on a rocky, red sandstone spur, the ruins of the castle majestically dominate the village down in the Zorn Valley. Back on board and departure of the boat towards Saverne. In the afternoon, visit of the Château du Haut Barr, often called “the Eye of Alsace”, from where you will discover splendid views over the Alsatian plains. Free time to explore or relax in Saverne before returning on board. We'll remain in port overnight.
Day 5, Saverne - Waltenheim
Guided tour of Saverne. Virtually unknown by the usual tourist routes, Saverne offers a wide range of places to discover: the Grand Rue with its unicorn fountain (the town's emblem); the Katz house, adorned with magnificent carved timbers; Notre Dame Church with its 12th-century steeple; various 18th-century administrative buildings; and the Récollets Monastery founded in the 14th century. Back on board. The afternoon will be spent cruising towards Waltenheim, passing the charming villages of Hochfelden and Schwindratzheim, nestled on a hillside. You'll get the opportunity to stroll down the paths or ride one of our bikes along the canal banks.
Arrival in Waltenheim early in the evening. For dinner, you will discover the “tarte flambée”, a local specialty served at a restaurant in Waltenheim (included). We'll remain in port overnight.
Day 6, Waltenheim - Strasbourg
Hiking tour along the hops trail in Wingersheim. Your pleasurable hike through the hop fields will be followed by a beer tasting. Back on board and departure of the boat towards Strasbourg. We'll cruise through the Zorn Valley and its landscaped fields, where the canal is wide and straight. Tonight is our gala evening, followed by a panoramic boat tour of Strasbourg's old town (subject to availability). We'll remain in port overnight.
Day 7, Strasbourg
Buffet breakfast on board. Disembark at 9:00 a.m.
