Summary

A holiday as effervescent as sparkling wine, this 5-day package takes you in an indulgent exploration to unearth the wonders of Champagne and Brittany. Venture to the lush vineyards of Marne Valley and then continue to Epernay, the principal entrepot for champagne wines, for the famous Moët & Chandon winery. Taste different types of champagne, enjoy a traditional French lunch, and visit a family estate to learn how champagne wines and vintages are made. Travel via train from Reims to the fascinating port city of Saint-Malo. Find yourself back in the 12th century as you stroll through the tangle of streets of the walled city and admire the surrounding deep cobalt sea as you spend some time on the beach. Watch out for the beautiful sunset!

Itinerary

Day 1, Arrival 
Independent arrival from the train station to your hotel. Check in and have the remainder of the day at your own leisure.

Day 2, Full Day taste of Epernay & Champagne wine tour 
Start the day in Reims after breakfast at your hotel, and head straight to the Marne Valley and its famous Champagne vineyards. After this, our champagne day tour will take you to Epernay, the epicentre of the champagne production. You will have the opportunity to stop at the world-famous Moët & Chandon winery, where you will be able to taste different kinds of champagnes. When lunch time comes, this champagne day experience will allow you to indulge into a traditional French lunch with a champagne pairing in a local winery. After lunch, your day in champagne will take you to a much smaller family estate. You will discover another side of the champagne making business, operating on a much smaller scale than Möet & Chandon and other big estates. Learn how champagne is traditionally made and try some vintages you have never tasted before. After your tour, you will be dropped off in Reims. 

Day 3, Reims to Saint Malo 
Breakfast at your hotel and check out. Take your 2nd class train to Saint Malo and check in to your new hotel. Remainder of the evening at your own leisure. 

Day 4, Walking tour of Saint Malo 
Breakfast at your hotel. Afterwards take a short walking tour of Saint Malo where you will learn about the history and sights. The view of the sea and the inner Saint Malo from the ramparts is just magnificent. The beaches surrounding the city are a place for delectation both for the town‘s inhabitants and its many visitors. Saint Malo is an active commercial port and it is the 1st Breton port for the passenger transportation from or to Portsmouth, Jersey, Poole, and Guernsey. 

Day 5, Departure 
Check out after breakfast. End of tour.
