Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with more than 2 300 statues among which the famous Smiling Angel, its impressive stained glass windows, the 13th century Notre-Dame de Reims Cathedral is one of Europe's most important Gothic structures. King Clovis was baptized there around 498, starting a long lasting tradition: except two, all of the Kings of France were crowned here.

After your lunch, your guide will drive you to the Montagne of Reims' Vineyard for a guided tour. Followed by a tour and Champagne tasting at a family estate. The house was founded in the late 19th century, in Epernay. It was later that the son of the family decided to move in a Belle Epoque residence in Chigny Les Roses with a very precise aim: to develop their Champagne brand whilst continuing to supply wines unimpeachable quality. The house belongs nowadays to a group, but is still known as a family business. Wine tasting s and wine auctions are held here. It is from the 15th century that Beaune experienced a real boom: economic, political and financial with the Hotel-Dieu, opened in 1452. Nicolas Rolin and his wife Guigone Salins gave a humanist dimension to the city since the hospices welcomed only the seriously ill and underprivileged people.

Since its construction in the 12th century, the Haut-Kœnigsbourg castle has been a constant witness to both European conflicts and rivalry between lords, kings and emperors. A number of illustrious owners each left their mark on the castle’s history, and successive events even led to changes in the castle’s structure. The first records of a castle built by the Hohenstaufens date back to 1147. Staufenberg, as it was called at the time, sat high above the Alsace plain at an altitude of more than 700 meters.
