Itinerary

Cassis and the Calanques
At 11:30 am, meet your guide at the tourist office of Aix en Provence for a pleasant day and start discovering the charming port of Cassis. Start by walking in the streets and chilling on places of this nice little harbor, dubbed “the little Saint Tropez of Provence”. You will have the choice between a relaxing moment on the beach of Cassis or board on a boat for an amazing short cruise (in option) in the Calanques, listed by UNESCO and the highest sea limestone cliffs in Europe named Cape Canaille. You will be impressed by this wonderful colourful contrast between the white cliff and the creeks’ turquoise water.

Lunch at your leisure in Cassis where you could taste Provencal specialties.

Discovery of the huge south city of Marseille
Your guide will drive you on a short ride in a comfortable 8-passenger minivan, with air conditioning. Enjoy the landscape and stop at the typical old port of Marseille.  You will climb a nice path to visit the Basilica of Notre Dame de La Garde for enjoying an incredible panoramic view on the Phocean city. Closed to the Old Port, you will see the massive and impressive abbey of Saint Victor of the 5th century and marble sarcophagus sculpted 1500 years ago. Enjoy free time for walking around the alleys and streets in the old city called “the Panier”, created during the roman occupation in 600 before J.C. Then, you could continue by own and visit the Mucem, the Villa Mediterrannée and reach the Fort Saint John and the cathedral La Major.

At 6:30 pm, your guide will drop you off at Aix en Provence Tourist Office.
