Summary

Day 1, Roncemay Golf
Discover an 18-hole golf course spread out around the estate's castle that leads you through forests, woods and a lush plateau. Created in 1989 by Jean Garaïalde, an international golfer, and Jeremy Pern, a designer of many international golf courses, the Domaine du Roncemay Golf Course benefits from a magnificent setting. Its 6,219-metre long course passes through an ancient forest of oak, beech and birch trees, and opens out on to a vast modelled and colourful plateau in the style of Scottish links courses. A very large practice range with 12 indoor bays and 40 bays on grass, a putting green, a pitch and in the heart of an 80-hectare park.

Lunch at the Domaine du Roncemay 's restaurant is an authentic gourmet address where the region and its wonderful produce are given pride of place. The Chef Pascal Guellec and his team offer seasonal cuisine prepared according to market availability. Putt and a 3-hole training course complete the facilities. Two areas make up this 18-hole international golf course: 11 holes are located in the forest, while 7 holes are on the plateau with its undulating terrain that overlooks the Yonne countryside. A selective golf course, but playable by golfers of all levels, it requires care with putting on the vast and very modelled greens

After golf, you'll discover the beautiful city of Joigny on your way back to the estate.

Day 2, Troyes Golf Course & Troyes historical city centre
Troyes Golf Course is at the edge of the forest, and classified among the most beautiful golf courses in France. “Golf de Troyes-la Cordelière”, previously the property of the Counts of Chandon de Briailles. Its 18 hole-course rolls over a vast carpet of gently undulating greenery, dotted with water features and ancient trees. With its par 72 approved course over 5896 meters, the Cordelière entices as much by the diversity and severity of its natural obstacles, as by the magnificence and the beauty of its environment. The sumptuous château which serves as the Club-House welcomes you with warmth and simplicity, far from the stresses of the noisy city!

Visit of Troyes city-centre with its ancient cobbled streets. Troyes has a lively centre that’s graced with one of France's finest ensembles of half-timbered houses and Gothic churches. Often overlooked, it’s one of the best places in France to get a sense of what Europe looked like back when Molière was penning his finest plays and the Three Musketeers were swashbuckling. Several unique and very worthwhile museums are another lure. Troyes has been in existence since the Roman era. It has many half-timbered houses (mainly of the 16th century) survive in the old town.

Troyes also has the largest Oultet Store Shopping centre in France with brands like Lacoste, Ralph Lauren.

Day 3, (Optional) Golf de Fontainebleau & Napoleon's Château
One of the Top 20 golf courses in Europe! Created by Frenchman Julien CHANTEPIE, redesigned in 1920 by Tom SIMPSON, modified by Fred HAWTREE, its located in the Fontainebleau forest, near the town, on the ancient imperial hunting grounds. Its narrow fairways are bordered with various species of trees such as pines silver birch, wild cherry, beech and centenary oak. It is very well equipped with 103 fine sand bunkers and also, dense outcrops of brooms, lilacs, ferns and wonderful jennets, which makes the course so attractive and difficult. And, according to the seasons, a symphony of colours and the scents of nature awaits you. Due to its sandy ground, the ground is soft and is perfectly playable at any moment however bad the weather conditions may be. Its Norman style clubhouse is decorated with tree frescoes painted by Paul TAVERNIER, member of the Barbizon school. A great traditional golf club, many golfers consider Fontainebleau as one of the best in Europe.

Fontainebleau golf course is invariably rated in top 20 in Europe and in 2001, it was ranked by the Golf European magazine readers, as number 1 in France and is classed 17th in the Golf World Top 50 Continental golf courses.

Fontainebleau- Napoleon'sChateau
Visit the world-famous Château of Fontainebleau & its city centre. is located 55 kilometres (34 miles). It is one of the largest French Royal châteaux in France. The medieval castle and later château was the residence of French monarchs from Louis VII through Napoleon III. Napoleon abdicated his throne there before being exiled to Elba.
