Terms & Conditions

Prices shown in Euros and will be converted in Australian Dollar (AUD) at time of payment using a daily ROE. An initial deposit of 20% of the total cruise fare for cabin or charters is payable at the time of booking. The balance must be paid within 90 days as per our terms and conditions and as specified in our confirmation invoice, which will be despatched when the booking form has been processed. Cancellation policy applies to all bookings.

Itinerary 

Dole to St Leger

Day 1, Sunday
Board the barge at Dole and meet your crew for a champagne reception. In the evening enjoy your first dinner on board, with decadent local cuisine and fine wines.

Day 2, Monday
Join the River Saône on your leisurely morning cruise. Visit Clos de Vougeot, a medieval château and headquarters of the Chevaliers du Tastevin society. You’ll be treated to a private wine tasting at a reputed local producer before rejoining the barge.

Day 3, Tuesday
After breakfast, take a walking tour of historic Dijon. Visit the market, the Ducal Palace and the famous Grey Poupon mustard shop. Enjoy lunch in Dijon before returning to the barge for an afternoon cruise along the Soane River. This evening, you will enjoy dinner onboard.

Day 4, Wednesday
Continue along the final stretch of the Saône before mooring in the pretty village of Fragnes. After lunch join a tour of Beaune, wine capital of Burgundy. Tour the magnificent 15th-century Hôtel-Dieu a charity hospital that reveals the region’s history. Explore the town at your leisure before returning to the barge.

Day 5, Thursday
Relax and watch the world float by as your cruise along the beautiful Canal du Centre. After lunch, the estate's owner takes you on a tour of Château de Germolles, the last remaining residence of the Dukes of Burgundy. As evening descends, moor in Chagny for dinner onboard.

Day 6, Friday
A leisurely cruise takes you to St Léger, your final destination. After lunch tour Château de Chamirey, a family-run wine estate, complete with a tasting session. Take a scenic drive back to the barge in time for cocktails and a farewell gala dinner.

Day 7, Saturday
After breakfast, bid adieu to the crew and disembark for your onward travel arrangements.

3-Night Cruise Itinerary

Dole to Fragnes

Day 1, Sunday
Board your barge at the pretty port in Dole's town centre. A champagne reception welcomes you in effervescent style and gives you a chance to meet the crew. This evening, experience your first sumptuous dinner on board. Afterwards, you may wish to accompany your guide on a moonlit walk of the historic town.

Day 2, Monday
The day starts with a leisurely cruise allowing you to savour the beauty of the French countryside. Take the opportunity to alight from the barge at a lock and walk or cycle along the picturesque towpath. After lunch on board, join your guide for a visit to the historic Clos de Vougeot. The 16th-century, Renaissance-style château was originally a farm where Cistercian monks first made wine in the 12th century. It’s now the headquarters of the celebrated Burgundian wine society, the Confrérerie des Chevaliers du Tastevin. After a local degustation, rejoin the barge at Saint-Jean-de-Losne, your overnight mooring. Enjoy dinner on board.

Day 3, Tuesday
Relax as we continue our journey along the canal to Fragnes. After lunch, alight to explore the charming town of Châlon-sur-Saône with its quaint antique shops, stunning cathedral square and half-timbered buildings. Or simply sit in one of the enticing pavement cafes and watch the world go by. Later, return to the barge, where your chef has been busy preparing a fabulous farewell dinner.

Day 4, Wednesday
After breakfast, the crew bids you farewell before you disembark the barge for your onward travel arrangements.


3-Night Cruise Itinerary

Fragnes to St Leger

Day 1, Wednesday
Board the barge at its charming mooring in Fragnes and enjoy a sparkling champagne reception as you meet the crew. Later in the evening, enjoy your first gastronomic dinner on board.

Day 2, Thursday
A leisurely cruise on the Canal du Centre gives you a chance to savour the beauty of the French countryside. Take the opportunity to alight at a lock and walk or cycle along the picturesque towpath. After lunch, join your guide on a visit to Beaune, unofficial capital of the Burgundy wine region. Tour the famous Hôtel-Dieu, a spectacular 15th-century building that was formerly a charitable hospital. Behind its gothic façade, beautiful tiled roofs and flamboyant colours lie stunning collections of furniture and art. Take time to stroll round the town, exploring the wonderful architecture and enticing shops, before returning to the barge for cocktails and dinner.

Day 3, Friday
Relax on board as our journey continues along the scenic canal. After lunch, visit Château de Chamirey, a family-run wine estate in Mercurey. Enjoy a private vineyard tour and a tasting of the prestigious wines produced there. After a stunning drive back to the boat, relax over an aperitif as Chef prepares your farewell gala dinner.

Day 4, Saturday
After breakfast the crew bids you farewell before you disembark the barge for your onward travel arrangements.
