Terms & Conditions

Prices shown in Euros and will be converted in Australian Dollar (AUD) at time of payment using a daily ROE. An initial deposit of 20% of the total cruise fare for charters is payable at the time of booking. The balance must be paid within 90 days as per our terms and conditions and as specified in our confirmation invoice, which will be despatched when the booking form has been processed. Cancellation policy applies to all bookings.

Itinerary 

Dijon to St. Leger

Day 1, Sunday
Board at Port du Canal and meet your crew for a Champagne reception. Later, dine on superb local cuisine and fine wines.
 
Day 2, Monday

Drive through the Côte d'Or, which produces some of the world's most famous wines.Visit Clos de Vougeot, a medieval château and headquarters of the Chevaliers du Tastevin society. Afterwards, enjoy a wine tasting in Vougeot.

Back on board, cruise to Longecourt village. You can choose to walk or cycle alongside the barge.

Day 3, Tuesday
Walk around historic Dijon and visit the magnificent Ducal Palace, market, and the Grey Poupon mustard shop. Browse the many shops, or simply relax in a pavement café. Enjoy lunch on board and marvel at the scenery as you cruise to St-Jean-de-Losne.

In the evening stroll around the port and see the many barges.

Day 4, Wednesday
Cruise along the majestic River Sâone and pass through the impressive lock at Crissey. After lunch, visit Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy. Tour the magnificent 15th-century Hôtel-Dieu a charity hospital that reveals Burgundy’s history. Explore the charming town and shops before enjoying a wine tasting.

Return to the barge at Fragnes.

Day 5, Thursday
Cruise along the relaxing Canal du Centre. Or choose to cycle or walk alongside the barge. After lunch, tour the Château de Germolles, the only remaining residence of the Dukes of Burgundy.

Moor in Rully and dine at a wonderful local Michelin-starred restaurant.

Day 6, Friday
Cruise to St Léger, another quaint village along the Canal du Centre. Visit Château de Chamirey, a family wine estate in Mercurey. Enjoy a tour of the vineyards, property and cellar. Finish by sampling its fine wines. In the evening enjoy a farewell gala dinner.

Day 7, Saturday
After breakfast, disembark from the barge.

D​ijon to Vandenesse en Auxois

Day 1, Sunday
Board at Dijon's Port du Canal and meet your crew over a champagne reception. As your journey commences, savour your first delicious dinner on board.

Day 2, Monday
Leave Dijon and cruise along the River Ouche past unspoiled villages and forest-covered hills. You can choose to walk or cycle alongside on the towpath. Enjoy a wonderful dégustation menu in Vougeot, before visiting Clos de Vougeot, a medieval château and headquarters of the Chevaliers du Tastevin society. See the ancient wine presses once used by Cistercian monks. Back on board, your cruise continues to Fleurey-sur-Ouche village.

Day 3, Tuesday
Tour historic Dijon and visit the magnificent Ducal Palace and the Grey Poupon mustard shop. Take some free time to browse the wonderful shops, or simply relax in a pavement café. Have lunch on board and watch the beautiful passing scenery as you cruise to Gissey.

Day 4, Wednesday
Cruise the picturesque Ouche valley to La Bussière sur Ouche. In the afternoon, drive to the hilltop village of Châteauneuf en Auxois. Visit its 12th-century castle and take in the splendid views. In the evening enjoy a wonderful dinner at Abbey de la Bussière. This restored Cistercian abbey is now a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Day 5, Thursday
Take a scenic drive to Nyons, a typical Provençal village with a lavender distillery and 18th-century olive mill. There you'll savour a lunch at Grignan.Cruise past stunning rolling hills to Pont d'Ouche. After lunch visit Beaune, capital of the Burgundy wine region. Visit the magnificent 15th-century charity hospital Hôtel-Dieu. Browse the shops or stroll through the cobbled streets. Take part in an elegant wine tasting before returning to the barge.

Day 6, Friday
Begin the morning with a cruise to Vandenesse. After lunch on board, visit Château de Pommard. This estate is set among the vines of the Côte de Beaune. Enjoy a tour of the cellars and tasting before taking in a fine art exhibition.

Day 7, Saturday
Wake up to a final breakfast aboard before disembarking for your onward travel arrangements.

3-Night Cruise Itinerary

Dijon to Suerre

Day 1, Sunday
You are welcomed on board the barge in the heart of Dijon. A champagne reception commences the cruise in sparkling style and gives you the chance to meet the crew. Later in the evening, your first gastronomic dinner is served on board.

Day 2, Monday
The morning starts with a leisurely cruise. As you leave Dijon behind, there are plenty of opportunities to alight from the barge at a lock and walk or cycle along the picturesque towpath. After lunch on board, join your guide for a visit to the historic Clos de Vougeot. The 16th-century, Renaissance-style château was originally a farm where Cistercian monks made wine in the 12th century. It’s now the headquarters of the celebrated Burgundian wine society, the Confrérerie des Chevaliers du Tastevin. After a local degustation, rejoin the barge in the countryside near Longecourt, our overnight mooring. Dinner is served on board.

Day 3, Tuesday
Today, your guide takes you on a walking tour of historic Dijon, capital of the great Dukes of Burgundy. Visit the vibrant market, Ducal Palace and Grey Poupon mustard shop. Return to the barge for lunch and a cruise through the fabulous, unspoilt Saône Valley, renowned for its rustic villages and abundant wildlife. Arrive in the picturesque town of Seurre. While your chef is busy preparing your farewell gala dinner, relax on deck and savour a kir, an aperitif blending the locally produced blackcurrant liqueur with Burgundy’s Aligoté white wine.

Day 4, Seurre
After breakfast, the crew bids you farewell before you disembark the barge for your onward travel arrangements.



3-Night Cruise Itinerary

Fragnes to St Leger

Day 1, Wednesday
Board the barge at its charming mooring in Fragnes and enjoy a sparkling champagne reception as you meet the crew. Later in the evening, enjoy your first gastronomic dinner on board.

Day 2, Thursday
A leisurely cruise on the Canal du Centre gives you a chance to savour the beauty of the French countryside. Take the opportunity to alight at a lock and walk or cycle along the picturesque towpath. After lunch, join your guide on a visit to Beaune, unofficial capital of the Burgundy wine region. Tour the famous Hôtel-Dieu, a spectacular 15th-century building that was formerly a charitable hospital. Behind its gothic façade, beautiful tiled roofs and flamboyant colours lie stunning collections of furniture and art. Take time to stroll round the town, exploring the wonderful architecture and enticing shops, before returning to the barge for cocktails and dinner.

Day 3, Friday
Relax on board as our journey continues along the scenic canal. After lunch, visit Château de Chamirey, a family-run wine estate in Mercurey. Enjoy a private vineyard tour and a tasting of the prestigious wines produced there. After a stunning drive back to the boat, relax over an aperitif as Chef prepares your farewell gala dinner.

Day 4, Saturday
After breakfast, the crew bids you farewell before you disembark the barge for your onward travel arrangements.
