Package 1 - Self-Guided Alpine Walks

This is our introductory package for those who would like to 'breath some fresh mountain air'

With the lift passes you have the opportunity to access the mountains and experience their beauty up close. You will have the chance to ride on the highest cable car in Europe and view the stunning scenery of the mountains from 3800 metres. With the self guided packs you will have the chance to experience the best walks in the valley and through expert knowledge of the town be introduces to the best of Chamonix - restaurants, cafes and other great places to go!
 

Prices Per Person in AUD:

3 nights accommodation will be required to participate in this package.

Price includes:

• Self-Guided Walk Pack

• 2 day Lift Pass

• 3 course local Savoyard dinner with a half a carafe of wine for two

• Return minibus airport transfers

Price does not include:

Accommodation, personal expenses, and mountain rescue insurance.

This trip is suitable for most levels of fitness.

Package 2 - Alpine Discovery Walking

This is the chance to see Chamonix at its best, walking the high alpine paths taking in the spectacular scenery and enjoying the extraordinary beauty of the mountains. The walks will be led by an international Mountain Leader – a professionally qualified walking guide who knows the valley intimately.

The choice of walks for the two days will depend on the level of the group and also weather conditions. Where possible the group will take lifts to access high alpine paths.

During one of the two days your guide will plan to take you up the Aiguille du Midi cable car (3842 mtrs) to view the stunning scenery. From there you will walk the high level traverse to the Mer du Glace where you can either take the train or walk down to Chamonix. Total walk 4hrs with train down or 6hrs on foot.

• Two days with a professional mountain leader who will lead the guided high level alpine walks

• 3 course local Savoyard dinner with a half a carafe of wine for two

• Return minibus airport transfers

Price does not include:

Accommodation, any lifts passes – weather dependent, any food or drinks except Savoyard Dinner, personal expenses, and mountain rescue insurance.

This trip is suitable for people with moderate fitness who are able to walk for 4-5 hours on rough hilly terrain.

Package 3 - Alpine & Glacial Discovery

Day One – exceptionally scenic high alpine walk with an international mountain leader. Take  one of the lifts in the Chamonix valley and enjoy a 4-5 hour alpine walk

Day Two – high altitude glacial walk with a professional mountain guide

Ride the Aiguille du Midi cable car – the biggest single span cable car in Europe to 3842 metres. View the spectacular mountains scenery and then weather permitting take the Helbronner lift 8km across the Valley Blanche to Italy. After a break for Italian coffee put on crampons and set off on foot on the high altitude glacier with the potential of climbing a simple 3400 metre peak – the Petit Flambeau. Return to the Aiguille du Midi via the helbronner lift.

If it is not possible to ride the Aiguille du midi or the Helbronner lifts due to the weather an alternative walk will be arranged.

• One day with a professional mountain leader who will lead a guided high level alpine walk

• One day with a professional IFMGA mountain guide who will lead the glacial walk

• Hire of boots, crampons and harnesses for glacial walk

• 3 course typical Savoyard dinner with half a carafe of wine per two people

• Return minibus transfers to Geneva airport
