Marseille tour
(2 pm-6 pm Tuesday and Friday)
You will start the visit by Notre Dame de la Garde, 19th
century basilica, cherished by the locals, that will offer
you an exceptional view of the phocean city, the Frioul
islands and the If Castle. Passing by the Cité Radieuse
(Classified Historic Monument) of Le Corbusier, this
itinerary will take you to the villages of traditional
fishermen of Callelongue and the Goudes. Back by the
Corniche, you will make a stopover in the Vallon des Auffes,
where typical little fish boats and cabins jostle
themselves. Then, you will reach the Abbey of Saint Victor (11st
century) that keeps the entry of the Old Port. Followed by a
drive on the famous Canebière, to the freshness of the
Longchamp Palace and its majestic fountain. |

Arles, les Baux, St Remy de Provence
(9am
Saturday)
Through the Crau Plain, this itinerary will take you to the
Grand Rhône River bank where stands the ancient city of
Arles (UNESCO World Heritage). On the footpaths of Van Gogh,
you will discover the roman vestiges with the coliseum and
the ancient theater, the Saint Trophime church (carved
portal of 12th century), the Forum Square where stands the
statue of the provencal poet Frédéric Mistral but also the
Van Gogh's bridge, the hotel Dieu (former hospital) and the
Van Gogh’s Café. Late, on the road that leads you to Les
Baux de Provence, you will make a stopover in the abbey of
Montmajour (10th century) and to the Mill of Daudet, famous
place where Alphonse Daudet found inspiration to write his
letters. Lunch on your own, in the perched village of Les
Baux de Provence. In the afternoon, in the Baux valley well
known for its olive trees, you will visit an olive property,
before continuing to Saint Rémy de Provence, through the
Alpilles mountains.

Villages of Luberon
(9am Thursday)
You
will start this escapade by Oppède le Vieux, a village
carved into the rock and whose authenticity seduced some
artists and writers that today, are trying to restore
it. Not very far, you will discover Ménerbes, a fortress
village, witness of numerous religious wars and then
Bonnieux will welcome you for lunch. In the afternoon,
you will make a stop in Roussillon to admire its red
cliffs and will reach Gordes overlooking the Lubéron.
Finally, you will end this itinerary by the visit, quite
original, of a “bories” village.

Cassis
(9am Monday and Friday)
The Gineste
and the Crests roads will lead you to the outstanding site of
Cap Canaille, from where you will appreciate the exceptional
view on the bay of Cassis and the Massif of the Gardiole. Then,
you will board on a maritime tour* to discover the calanques.
Free time to stroll in the streets of the small fishing port of
Cassis.

Avignon (2pm Wednesday
and Sunday)
It is while
driving along the docks, between the Rhone River and the
battlements, you will enter the majestic City of the Popes, a
UNESCO World Heritage listed city. After a walk on the famous
Saint Benezet Bridge*, built in the 12th century, you will join
the monumental Palace of the Popes*, a papal residence of the
14th century. You can then enjoy free time to explore Cathedral
Notre Dame des Doms and the many cobblestone alley ways of Old
Avignon.

Aix en Provence (2pm
Monday or 9am Tueday)
It is while driving along the Mirabeau
Court, decorated of fountains and edged of 19th century’s
private hotels, that you will enter the heart of Aix en
Provence. You will discover the architectural wealth of the city
while driving by the 4 dolphins Fountain, the preachers
Fountain, the Albertas square, the city hall square, the
Cardeurs square, and the Saint Sauveur cathedral. Then, you will
be able to join the Cezanne's workshop*, small pavilion of the
Lauves, before coming back to enjoy the shady squares of the
painter's city.
Baux de Provence (8.30am
Wednesday and Sunday)
Located on
a rocky spur, in the heart of the Alpilles, the village of Les
Baux de Provence will lead you to an unforgettable journey into
the past. Along its paved alleys and stone houses, you will
discover the church of Saint Vincent, dug into the rock, the
painted Chapel of the White Penitents, and charming private
hotels. From the Castle* at the top, you will appreciate the
exceptional panorama of the Valley des Baux. Your tour also
includes a visit to an olive property, where you will discover
the various stages of the manufacture of olive oil and enjoy a
tasting of the oils this region is so famous for.
