Brittany (Bretagne) is an intriguing travel
destination. This region became part of France in 1532, but
retained its independence and its Celtic roots. Evidence of
the Neolithic tribe's early inhabitance is scattered throughout
the landscape, particularly near Carnac in the Gulf of Morbihan,
where the concentration of ancient rock structures, known
as megaliths, is highest.
Coast of Armor - also known
as the Pink Granite Coast - features several resort towns.
At sunset, the glow off the granite rocks along the shore here is breathtaking.
The great walled city of Saint-Malo is in Eastern Brittany.
Brest, in Western Brittany, houses one of the most
important naval ports in France.
Discover Mt St Michel, Quimper, Saint Brieuc, Saint
Malo and Vannes.
