Champs Elysees

The bustling Champs Elysees is also surrounded by quieter streets with many attractive small hotels, night clubs, great shops and local life.

 Centre

Or the "Golden Triangle" from the Opera to the Etoile, Champs Elysees, Concorde and the Louvre.  This is where you will find the major tourist attractions and great shopping.

St Germain

The trendy student quarter with lively jazz clubs, small restaurants and a busy night life.  Most hotels and rooms are quite small and "cosy".

Left Bank

From the Eiffel Tower to Montparnasse and Austerlitz stations.  Less touristy and more of the typical Parisian life, and generally better value properties.

Right Bank

From the lively Montmarte and Pigalle districts, the Nord and Est train stations to the typical Parisian areas of Republique and Bastille.  More budget style hotels and restaurants.

All these hotels are above average 2 star quality and in convenient locations near shops, restaurants and public transport. We have selected the best ones, all have private en-suite bathrooms, colour TV, telephone. Most are in central locations near major tourist sites and points of interest. Hotel rooms in Paris are generally much smaller than those in Australia, especially in the lower categories. Two star hotels are mostly modest establishments, and the cheaper ones are fairly basic, although clean. 

3 Stars

These 3 star properties are quality hotels selected for their good value and excellent location, close to the centre of the city within walking distance to tourist centres, public transport, shops an restaurants. They are often small typical and intimate Parisian establishments with only 30 to 50 rooms.Generally, 3 star hotels do not have air conditioning and rooms are small to average in size but feature colour TV, direct telephone, en-suite bathrooms. Please remember that the closer you are to the older parts of Paris (Left Bank, Saint Germain, Le Marais) the older the building and at the same time the rooms tend to be smaller. Do not expect large spacious rooms in Parisian hotels !!!
